This exploration presents Archy, an interior design app that helps users plan room layouts visually with precision and ease. The focus is on creating a clear, flexible workspace for arranging furniture, defining room zones, and visualizing interior decisions in one place.
The Challenge
Interior planning tools often feel either too technical or too limited for everyday users. The challenge was to design an interface that balances accuracy and simplicity, allowing users to design interiors confidently without feeling overwhelmed by complex controls.
Design Approach
The interface is built around a canvas-based workspace with intuitive controls and a structured side panel. We prioritized spatial clarity, consistent tools, and direct manipulation so users can adjust layouts, textures, and elements naturally while staying focused on the room design.
The Solution and Impact
By combining visual clarity with practical design tools, Archy delivers an interior planning experience that feels approachable and precise. Users can explore ideas faster, make better layout decisions, and confidently refine their interior concepts.
