What I brought to it: "Create a captivating video of the experience." That was it. No structure, no narrative direction, no creative framework. What arrived at the post lab was a high volume of footage from three simultaneous cameras, on a timeline that left no room for extended deliberation. The work was to find the film inside the material. To recognize connections that weren't obvious, identify the moments that carried genuine emotional weight, and build a narrative structure from raw activation footage that had no pre-designed arc. That is the editorial challenge I find most demanding and most rewarding: taking unstructured reality and shaping it into something that makes an audience feel the bond between a fan and their club in the space of a brief encounter. Structure, economy, and emotional precision. The smallest possible units for the biggest possible impact.
