Backerz is the first career investment platform that allows users to back individuals directly — turning human potential into the most valuable asset class. Unlike traditional investment apps, Backerz blends finance, community, and gamification to create a dynamic, human-first investing experience.
Appsylvania designed the end-to-end product experience: branding, UX flows, UI system, and prototyping — everything from the very first onboarding screen to the scalable design system.
The Challenge
How do you transform a disruptive idea — “investing in people” — into a product users trust, love, and engage with daily?
The goals:
Make investing in individuals as intuitive as trading stocks.
Build trust and transparency between creators and backers.
Engage a Gen Z audience with bold visuals and gamified flows.
Design a scalable platform for long-term financial and social growth.
1. Discovery & Strategy
We mapped the journeys of both Backers and Creators, analyzed competitors in fintech + the creator economy, and defined the UX foundation that balances financial clarity with social excitement.
2. Design System
We created a neon-green & black system symbolizing growth, energy, and finance. The system included:
Reusable cards, graphs, progress trackers, and badges.
Data-first UI for portfolios and investments.
Social-driven components for feeds and updates.
A scalable toolkit for consistent product growth
