Action Plan: Updating Xero & WordPress Files for Price Lists

1. Review Old Format Files:

- Examine the existing Xero and WordPress files attached containing the price lists from previous year to understand the structure and formatting used.

2. Calculate Sale Prices:

Sale Price = ((Cost Price /0.6 ) )+15 to calculate the sale prices for each item in the price lists.

Cost Price is as is on Price list in GBP

3. Create New Xero Price List:

- Create a new price list or update the existing price list with the calculated sale prices for each item.

- Ensure that the changes are accurately reflected in Xero and that the prices are updated for all relevant products.

4. Construct New WordPress File:

- Export the existing price list file or template to use as a reference for the new file.

- Create a new file or update the existing file with the calculated sale prices for each item.

- Ensure that the file follows the required format for easy uploading to WordPress.

- Include relevant product details such as name, SKU, description, and sale price.

- Make sure Image URLs are imported from previous WP uploads then add the URL in a column to be imported in the new WP upload

5. Test and Validate:

- Before finalizing the updates, thoroughly review with your manager the new price lists in both Xero and WordPress.

- Check for accuracy and consistency in the sale prices across all products.

- Validate that the files can be easily uploaded and integrated into both systems without any errors.

6. Upload to Xero & WordPress:

- Once validated, proceed to upload the new price lists to Xero and WordPress.

- Follow the respective upload procedures for each platform to ensure seamless integration.

- Double-check that the changes are reflected correctly in both Xero and WordPress after uploading.

7. Documentation and Training:

- Document the process of updating price lists for future reference.

- Provide training or guidelines to relevant staff members responsible for managing price lists in Xero and WordPress.

- Ensure that they understand the process and can perform updates independently in the future.

8. Monitor and Maintain:

- Regularly monitor the price lists in both Xero and WordPress to ensure they remain up-to-date.

- Make any necessary adjustments or updates as needed based on changes in product pricing or other factors.

- Continuously optimize the process for updating price lists to improve efficiency and accuracy.
