Diet: Weight loss Healthy food

This app is designed for independent daily diet planning or following a prepared meal plan. We created it to accommodate various diet strategies and user preferences.

Business Goal

We aim to create a competitive healthy lifestyle app that combines the functionalities of other services, simplifying the user experience. For instance, it includes separate meal plans, useful recipes, a calorie counter, and a water tracker.

My Role

In this project, I serve as the Senior Product Designer responsible for developing a new design system. Collaborating with the product owner and developers, I find optimal design solutions. Additionally, I lead a Junior UX/UI Designer, ensuring design consistency and quality.

App Issue

Initially conceived as an addition to our fitness app, the mobile application's 2019 release on the 1C platform did not meet expected results due to visual and interface issues. Collaborating with a second designer and the product owner, we conducted research and decided to change our approach.
Collaborating with the developer and product owner, we decided to:
Conduct custom UX testing with representatives of the target audience.
Analyze the results and devise recommendations for improvements.
Address evident interface issues.

Improvement Process

We transitioned to SWIFT UI development, overhauling the app's structure and rewriting the user flow. The first MVP release occurred in the fall of 2023, with nine months of collaborative effort resulting in positive changes: a 4.5 rating on the App Store and a daily installation increase of +1.46 thousand.

Results

The product is currently in a solid MVP state, and our focus is on further enhancing functionality, conducting tests, and gathering feedback. Despite limited features, we observe positive changes and are committed to continuous improvement and development.
You can check out the current version (for now it's an MVP version) of the app by clicking on the following link at App Store:
