A Triumvirate of Healing Virtual Book Tour — Event Production

Lissa Rankin is renowned physician, speaker, and author who focuses on the intersection of mind-body wellness and personal transformation. I regularly support Lissa's virtual classes for her community on Zoom, but this particular event had me producing a livestream for her in-person book tour with Nancy Aronie and Dr. Jeffrey Rediger.

The Triumvirate of Healing Book Tour livestream was designed to engage Lissa's community in a conversation where the authors shared the holy grails of what they've learned on their quest to understand the healing process, told the mystery stories of synchronicity and flow that continue to bring the three of them together, offer a simple group healing practice, and celebrate coming together in community after so much social isolation, loneliness, and physical and mental illness during the pandemic.

As the virtual producer, my role encompassed managing all aspects of the livestream's execution, from pre-production planning to the live event and post-event follow-up. I worked closely with Lissa's business manager and an on-site A/V team at two separate bookstore location to ensure the content was aligned with her vision and that the technical setup was seamless. This included coordinating the logistics for streaming, ensuring all necessary equipment was in place, and assisting with the setup of the virtual environment to create an engaging experience for the viewers.

I also managed audience interaction during the livestream, monitoring chat comments, engaging with viewers in real-time, and sharing content links. This interactive component was crucial for creating a sense of connection with her audience, allowing for direct engagement, questions, and feedback.

All in all we had 553 live viewers attend the virtual event on April 30th and 300 live viewers attend on May 3rd.
