I was a contractor for Publix in 2024 and took over the design design after the lead product designer had left the company. While working on the system, I made sure to meet with designers each week in our design systems office hours and have the present components they needed added to the system and use case for those components. I used Figma Variables, Properties, Variants, and of course Auto-Layout to build the system and keep it lean.
