Series A Investment by Goldman Sachs

Rosi Rodrigues

In my experience of solid 8-years as a tech entrepreneur, I went through various rounds of investments from FFF's, Angel, Seed, to Series A, within the rise of Brazil's tech startup scene from 2011 to 2019. All startups that I was fortunate to be part of made it through by investment or acquisition. I experienced countless forms of due diligence, which all involved a sharp eye to assess and manage the data room, and that the execution was in alignment with the strategy, keeping the numbers as promised. In 2020, one of the companies I'm cofounder and a shareholder in, Iugu.com a financial payment infrastructure in Brazil, raised $22M (R$120M) in Series A led by Goldman Sachs, together with other investors in the round. This investment was strategic and a game changer for the company, which through the resources was able to secure a banking license with the Brazilian Central Bank and expand its services in the country.
