Interactive Concept Site for Architects' Album

Architects' existing website, while functional, lacked the immersive quality that could truly capture their powerful musical identity. The site felt static and didn't fully engage visitors or encourage exploration beyond basic information. There was an opportunity to transform the standard band website formula into something more experiential.
My approach focused on transforming regular browsing into interactive discovery. Rather than simply displaying information, I wanted to create moments of interaction that would surprise and engage users while they learned about the band's work.
The hero section became the focal point where I brought their album artwork to life using Unicorn Studio's WebGL capabilities. This immediately established that this wouldn't be a typical browsing experience - the artwork responds and evolves as users interact with it, creating an emotional connection before they even scroll.
For the tour section, I recognised that simply listing dates missed an opportunity to convey the energy of their live performances. By implementing hover interactions over Edward Mason's authentic tour photography, users get an instant glimpse into the concert experience. This bridges the gap between digital discovery and the physical reality of their shows.
The strategic flow continues by seamlessly guiding users from the new album experience to merchandise and their broader discography. Rather than treating these as separate sections, the design creates a cohesive journey that encourages deeper exploration of Architects' entire catalog and brand ecosystem.
This approach transforms a simple informational website into an engaging brand experience that better reflects the band's artistic intensity while providing practical functionality for fans seeking tour dates, merchandise, and music discovery.
