Social media has been a regular format in my copywritng journey. After I became obsessed with Twitter and Tumblr, I decided I wanted to try to make money with those platforms. The whole "content" thing was blooming.
Fast forward eight years, and I've done my fair share of social media writing. Here are some jobs I've enjoyed the most that showcase real impact.
Organic performance boost for the everyday content
As part of the social media team for Discovery Latin America at Inpulse Digital Agency, I created content for different accounts, such as Discovery Home & Health, Food Network, Discovery Kids, and TLC.
Interact and Conquer
Problem
🚨 Low interaction
🚨 Everyday content lacked a fun, creative approach
Solution
Apply more creativity in the caption and overall post concept by:
📞 Simplifying the concept of the post by imagining a fake call with one of the talents and known personalities of the channel
📝 Writing a copy with different options to choose from to encourage the users to choose one and comment on their pick. The copy says:
"What do you do if Randy calls you?
You pick up and start screaming with excitement 🤯💕
You're very chill; say hi, and proceed to tell him about the 846 wedding dresses you have saved on your Pinterest 📝👰♀️
You're too shook to pick up and stand there, not knowing what to do, until Randy finally ends up the call 😱
