YOUNGA® responds to UN Secretary-General António Guterres' call for a global dialogue on the future, involving nearly two billion young people in shaping action plans for equality, peace, and global cooperation. This collaborative event, supported by 290+ partners, emphasizes a borderless experience, encouraging collaboration and empowering global unity and youth action.
I was given carte blanche for the social media strategy. I not only sourced and produced content but also handled the design and community management.
During YOUNGA 2021, I covered event days, designed engaging templates, and revitalized an account with a stagnant following. We spearheaded a major campaign in Disney World. I did real-time coverage of speeches from global organizations and influencers like UNESCO, FAO, UN Women, Disney, IBM, Rare Beauty, and more. It was a rewarding experience capturing insights from industry leaders, policy-makers, and celebrity advocates.
I led the charge on social media, curating, producing, and designing content. Simultaneously, I transformed the social media account, eliminating ghost followers and boosting our following from 10k to 11.8k in just two months. Engagement soared, with a 300% increase in organic interactions, turning average likes from 20 to a whopping 150 and comments from none to 10. I also orchestrated a complete facelift for our feed, giving it a sleek and unified look.
In Airtable, I whipped up a content calendar and brought designs to life on Canva. Slack kept our communication smooth, and Google Suite was our toolkit for crafting media kits. I collaborated closely with BTG's talented crew—the videographer, communications and project managers, community coordinator, and our captain, Kelly Lovell.
