The United Nations University, UNU-BIOLAC supports training and research at the intersection of science, technology, and society. With a focus on modern biotechnology's role in social and economic development, the program aims to prepare and qualify professionals through targeted training and capacity development activities in the LAC region, conducted in collaboration with an international network of experts.
As the Communications Consultant, my role centered on cultivating and managing content across our platforms—Facebook, email, and Twitter.
I help orchestrate activations related to Biotechnology and the Programme's priority areas, following our international observances calendar and collaborating with our network of fellows, alumni, and scientists.
Zoom interviews were a key tool to generate insightful content, including breaking down research papers into digestible infographics. I took charge of visuals, videos, and copy across all outlets and designed onboarding guides for fellowship course coordinators, fellows, and other stakeholders.
I also launched the program's newsletter, which resulted in a surge of organic growth within the network. Despite budget limitations, my focus remained on delivering maximum value.
This strategic approach aimed to facilitate organic growth within our alumni network, making it easier to spread the word and foster collaboration.
