Overview Service for Hire is a mobile app designed to connect users with local professionals and service providers quickly and efficiently. Whether you need a plumber, cleaner, tutor, or handyman, the app simplifies finding, booking, and paying for services all in one place.

Finding reliable service providers can be time-consuming and frustrating. Users often struggle with unverified professionals, inconsistent pricing, and complicated booking processes. Service providers also face challenges reaching potential customers and managing appointments effectively.

I designed a mobile app that solves these issues by offering a trusted platform where users can browse verified professionals with ratings and reviews, compare prices, schedule appointments, and make secure payments seamlessly called Service for Hire. Service providers benefit from easy profile management, greater reach to prospective clients and target customers, and customer communication tools that enhance connections with clientele.

As the lead product designer, my responsibilities included:

Conducting user research to understand pain points.

Designing wireframes and prototypes that streamline the booking and payment flows, and create a visually appealing interface that builds trust and encourages app adoption.

Designing an app that is intuitive, engaging, and user-friendly for both customers and service providers.

This project reinforced the importance of user-centered design in driving engagement and satisfaction, ultimately helping both customers and service professionals connect with confidence and ease.
