Background.
Previously, Snapinn is a hospitality startup in Indonesia. In a nutshell, it’s like Airbnb. But in early 2021 they decided to pivot to be a brokerage website. The idea was creating a platform for property agents to showcase their property listing.
Project Preparations.
I digged deeper the project before jump to designing the website. Find out what’s their needs, their pain points, listen to their ideas, their expectation, and many things.
Since this project was 90% remote working, firstly, I send them a document that need to be filled by them, so I can understand the brief clearly.
In a nutshell, this is the summary of the project brief:
User Flows.
For an initial process, I did some benchmarking from the website/competitors that the client mentioned. And after that I proposed an user flows for a common ground and overall journey of the website. In this stage, I’ve an intense discussion with the client for the alignment.
Information Architecture.
Low Fidelity Design.
To get a better visualization of the flow & the architecture, I gave the low fidelity design first to the client. So they can imagine how the website gonna looks like. This is the perfect stage to do some iterations, alternatives, and explorations, since it easy to be changed. So I really maximize this stage and finalized the design.
Design System & Library.
In order to make the design consistent across the pages, I took some time to create the design system and library for this project. Especially for the basic & fundamental elements like colors, typography, etc. Yet, it will fasten my work flow.
