Flowdesk is a B2B SaaS dashboard designed to help remote teams and managers understand work progress, priorities, and risks at a glance. The project explores how AI can be integrated into everyday workflows to reduce cognitive load without overwhelming users or turning the product into a chatbot-driven experience.
This was a solo UX and UI project covering product thinking, interaction design, visual design, and AI UX strategy.
The Problem
Most team productivity tools overwhelm users with data but fail to answer one simple question:
What should I focus on right now?
Managers waste time scanning dashboards, opening multiple views, and manually interpreting task lists, reports, and workload distribution. Existing tools surface information, but they do not provide clarity or prioritization, especially under time pressure.
The challenge was to design a dashboard that:
Surfaces the most important signals instantly
Supports fast decision-making
Integrates AI in a way that feels calm, explainable, and optional
Goals and success criteria
The product needed to:
Reduce time spent scanning dashboards
Make priorities obvious without hiding raw data
Feel professional and enterprise-ready
Demonstrate strong hierarchy, systems thinking, and restraint
From a portfolio perspective, the goal was to show competence in:
Dashboard UX
Data-dense layouts
Practical AI integration
Production-ready UI design
Dashboard
Projects
Analytics
Tasks Management
Settings
Outcome
The final design presents a calm, structured dashboard that:
Makes priorities obvious within seconds
Demonstrates how AI can reduce cognitive effort
Feels realistic enough to ship to real teams
For my portfolio, this project showcases:
Strong dashboard UX fundamentals
Thoughtful AI integration
Business-aligned design decisions
Senior-level restraint and clarity
Reflection
This project reinforced an important lesson:
Good AI UX is quiet.
The most effective AI features do not announce themselves. They simply make the product easier to use, faster to understand, and calmer under pressure.
