Introducing a new product online involves creating an engaging content page, detailing product significance and purchase information. Success hinges on optimizing the page for visibility and design to ensure a great shopping experience, accessible via advertising, site browsing, or organic search.
Navigating the Challenge 🤝
A critical aspect of this project was the swift launch of a new product within a constrained two-week timeframe and limited budget. To address these challenges efficiently, we leveraged existing web components from our main site, which proved instrumental in meeting our deadline. Collaborating closely with a skilled web developer, we meticulously selected the most suitable web components tailored to the product's unique needs, including photography, text, graphics, and iconography, ensuring a successful and timely project completion.
My Role
In the role of UI/UX Designer and Art Director for Bic BodyMark™, I was entrusted with crafting the visual design of the new product page. Collaborating closely with an experienced Bic-dedicated web developer, our synergy was pivotal in realizing the project. I take great pride in our collective effort and the successful fruition of our hard work.
The Solution
Our solution was to employ reusable web components, a strategic choice driven by the tight deadline. By integrating and adapting Bic's existing robust digital infrastructure, which already featured dozens of product pages, we handpicked the most suitable components for this specific launch. This approach of smart resource utilization allowed us not just to meet but to exceed our project timeline, leading to a successful launch. The triumph of this project fills me with immense pride.
The Outcome 📣
The Bic BodyMark™ product page launch was an astounding success, marking thousands of purchases within the initial week. Post-launch, minor tweaks were made based on insightful analytics, enhancing the page further. Thanks to invaluable data from our Google Analytics Specialist, we discovered a significant 67% of revenue was generated from product detail page sessions. The outcome exceeded our expectations, leaving us thoroughly satisfied with the results.
