Content can do more than fill a publishing calendar. Across three different projects, I built approaches that helped businesses create more from what they already had, involve their communities and test ideas before investing further.
Objective: Create content more efficiently while improving relevance, reach and learning
THE CHALLENGE
Creating more content doesn't automatically create more value. The challenge was finding ways to make each piece of work go further — whether that meant adapting one idea across different formats, involving the audience in what was created or testing an idea before committing more time and budget.
THE APPROACH
I looked at what the content needed to achieve before deciding what needed to be created. From there, I developed practical ways to reuse strong ideas, bring the audience into the process and use real responses to inform what happened next.
THE RESULTS
10× CONTENT FORMATS. Choosing the format that best fits the message, audience and moment, rather than forcing every piece of content into the same approach.
250+ COMMUNITY RESPONSES. Community participation created a direct source of content and audience insight rather than relying only on internally generated ideas.
10K+ REDDIT VIEWS. Testing the idea with a relevant Reddit audience generated significant visibility and real-world feedback before further investment.
CLIENT EXAMPLES
01 - Choosing the format that best fits the message, audience and moment, rather than forcing every piece of content into the same approach.
02 - Used audience comments and conversations to inform what the brand created next, generating 250+ meaningful comments.
03 - Used Reddit to test audience interest before investing further, generating 104K views, 478 upvotes and 160+ comments.
KEY OBSERVATION
You don't always need more ideas. You need to get more value from the right ones. The strongest content can be adapted, informed by the audience and tested before more resources are committed
BUSINESS IMPACT
This makes content more useful to the business: more output from existing ideas, stronger audience input and better evidence for deciding what to create or invest in next.
