This festive season, I got the opportunity to design something truly close to my heart – the Utsav Festive Gift Box for Dhampur Green, in collaboration with the wonderful team at Branduits.

When I first got the brief, my brain instantly went into full “Diwali mode”. The challenge was simple in words but tricky in emotion: How do you capture all Indian festivals in one box without making it look like a crowded wedding invitation?

So I started collecting small stories, colors, and motifs that define how we celebrate as a country. A paisley from Holi, a diya from Diwali, a flower from Durga Puja, a star from Christmas, a swirl from our endless rangolis. All of them came together like a design garland: bright, balanced, and festive.

The process was about finding the right harmony between traditional joy and modern simplicity. Every square on that box was hand-balanced with a mix of bold colors, symbolic motifs, and geometric play. I wanted people to not just see a gift box but to feel the season of togetherness, light, and celebration the moment they looked at it.
