Redesigning Rush’s website to create an engaging experience

Rush Sports is a sports-tech company offering arenas, academies, communities, corporate events, and sports infrastructure. The previous website lacked clarity. The goal of this redesign was to bring everything together into one clear, engaging experience that helps users understand Rush and take action.

Problem Statement

The old Rush website had several critical issues:
Visually inconsistent UI and poor color usage
Weak storytelling and no clear brand narrative
Repetitive, information-heavy content blocks
No clear user journeys for booking, trials, or inquiries

As a result, users struggled to understand what Rush offers and what action to take next.

Goals

The redesign focused on both brand clarity and business outcomes.
Increase arena slot bookings
Increase academy trial sign-ups
Improve corporate and infrastructure lead inquiries
Grow community (WhatsApp) participation

Business Understanding

Using the Rush business overview deck, I studied:
Rush’s multi-vertical ecosystem
Arena and academy growth metrics
Corporate Events and Infrastructure offerings
Brand values focused on inclusion, community, and action

User Persona

Information Architecture

I structured the website flow for better clarity.

Visual Design

I chose green (#85FF5B) as the primary brand color for Rush. Green works well for a sports-tech brand because it feels energetic. It also represents growth and movement, which align with sports and fitness.
For typography, I used the Outfit typeface. Outfit is modern, clean, and highly readable, making it suitable for digital products.

Before vs After — Visual & UX Improvements

Before (Old Website)

UX Impact

Users immediately understand what Rush is and who it’s for
Content feels lighter, more approachable
Keep users on the page longer by improving clarity.

Mobile Approach

Designed mobile version with thumb-friendly navigation, clear content hierarchy, and prominent CTAs to make browsing and booking easy on the go.

Key Learnings

Storytelling is as important as UI in conversion websites
Reducing content often increases clarity
Designing ecosystems requires strong IA, not just visuals
Sports brands need energy, but also simplicity

Overall

This redesign improved Rush’s digital presence by bringing all offerings together into one clear website focused on user engagement and action.

Play is our common language — and the website finally speaks it.
