Objective: Paintly is an app that inspires users firstly through a full-screen gallery of art and secondly gives them simple tools to create their own images, edits, or videos with the help of AI.
My Role: Mobile App and Icon Design, Brand Development

Scope and Objective
Most creative apps drop users straight into complex editing tools. Beginners feel lost. The client wanted something different:
Inspire users the moment the app opens
Reduce friction from idea to creation
Keep users engaged with easy sharing and exploration features with Ai

Process
Understanding the Vision
I started by reviewing the full product description shared by the client. This gave clarity on the app’s core idea — to move users from inspiration to creation quickly and enjoyably.
I identified three core goals:
Inspire users right from the start
Simplify the creative flow
Make sharing feel rewarding.

2. Visual design and development
With the idea locked in, we drove straight into high-fidelity screens with a clean, creative look. I used vibrant colors, motion, and full-screen visuals to make the experience feel bold and inspiring.
Each section had its own role:
Gallery to spark ideas
Prompts to nudge users into creating
Templates to lower the barrier to start
Editor to make customization feel guided and playful

Results
Designed a complete end-to-end mobile experience in under 4 weeks
Reduced the average number of steps to create content from 7+ to just 3 taps
Delivered a fully interactive prototype used to pitch to investors and early testers
Created a scalable UI system with over 40+ reusable components
Increased early tester engagement: 80% of users clicked “Create Yours” within 30 seconds
Streamlined design handoff — developers started integration with zero revision rounds.
