Clinq is a tech company building AI-native tools to help B2B SaaS sales teams. They focus on deep integrations between AI and the sales workflow—from live calls to CRM to product demos.
Since launch, they’ve helped sales teams reduce response time, close deals faster, and scale without adding headcount. Their product handles real-time technical Q&A during sales calls, auto-generates CRM entries from meetings, and builds tailored demos on the fly.
As a product designer, I lead design across all user touchpoints—from sales rep dashboards to live call interfaces—ensuring clarity, speed, and trust in every interaction.

My Process

When I began designing the Clinq AI web app, the first step was to deeply understand the product.
Clinq isn’t just another sales tool—it’s an AI-native platform that lives inside the sales workflow. I started by breaking down its three main features: a real-time call assistant that joins meetings to answer technical questions, a smart system that turns call conversations into structured CRM data, and a tool that automates custom product demos based on each sales conversation.
Empathize with the Business and Users
To really get how this all worked, I set up time with the internal teams—sales, product, and engineering. I asked what slowed them down in a sales cycle. I asked what sales reps needed during live calls. I wanted to see where the current process felt manual or messy.
Then I focused on the users. I talked to sales reps who run five back-to-back demos a day. I listened to sales engineers who spend too much time answering the same technical questions. I learned what sales managers look for when reviewing calls or tracking pipeline health.
With that context, I shifted to designing key interactions.

And for syncing with the CRM? I designed that flow to feel like a one-click action. No more switching tabs or copy-pasting. Just review, confirm, and move on.

For the call summaries, the goal was clarity. Salespeople don’t have time to read through blocks of AI-generated notes. I designed clean, structured summaries—pulling out action items, technical concerns, and buying signals at a glance.
Designing the Live Product
One thing became clear: speed and clarity mattered most. During a call, AI responses had to feel instant and precise—like a trusted teammate jumping in, not a chatbot lagging behind. I designed the live call UI so AI replies appeared exactly where reps needed them, without distraction.
Next came the demo builder. It had to feel intelligent and fast. Based on the call context, Clinq should pre-fill content and guide reps to fine-tune—not build from scratch. I made that workflow tight and smart, so a sales rep could go from call to custom demo in minutes.
The process was simple: listen first, then design for speed, trust, and ease.
