Black Atlantic is a futurist cultural education and entertainment organization focused on the history and evolution of the African Diaspora. The client, directed by Jean Francis Varre, approached me for a rebranding and art direction project. The goal was to simplify the old logo, which featured a drawing of a ship crossing the sea, and create a new visual identity that reflected the organization's futuristic vision and positioned them as a leader in cultural media content and products.

Visual identity

A new visual identity program was developed for Black Atlantic that included a simplified logo and a range of design elements to create a cohesive and consistent brand identity. The new logo is a more futuristic and simple symbol that can stand on its own even without the lettermark, reflecting the organization's vision.

Art Direction

Art direction was provided for all of the digital assets, including the website, social media, and marketing collateral. The visual style was consistent with the new visual identity and reflected the organization focus.

Website Design

The new website for Black Atlantic was designed, incorporating the new visual identity and ensuring that it was user-friendly and intuitive. The website was optimized for search engines to increase organic traffic and engagement.
