Original school website mockup showing desktop, tablet, and phone presentations.
A school website built around the questions parents ask
This portfolio presentation explores the website layout shown for The Town School. The focus is the parent journey: understand the school, explore how children learn and find the next step towards admissions.
The homepage combines school-life photography with a clear introduction, a section explaining the school’s approach, and routes into academics, admissions, and community information. The content moves from an initial impression of the school into the details a family needs when comparing options.
Design direction
Deep navy sections give the page structure, while warm accents draw attention to links and important messages. Open spacing keeps the page readable. Photography helps families see the learning environment alongside the written information, rather than asking them to work through a wall of text.
Making a long page easier to explore
The layout separates the school introduction, learning approach, age-group information, and community updates into distinct sections. This gives different visitors useful entry points: a parent researching admissions, a family looking at the learning experience, or someone checking school news.
The device mockup brings the school introduction, learning approach and page navigation into desktop, tablet and phone presentations. It shows the visual direction and content hierarchy; these views are presentation mockups, not evidence of responsive testing or a live deployment.
Project scope
This case covers the visual presentation and information hierarchy shown in the portfolio mockup. It is not a claim of sole authorship or current maintenance of the school’s live website. No admissions growth, enquiry totals or other undocumented performance results are claimed.
