I was approached by a Fortune 500 client looking to launch their brand on TikTok. Unsure of how to adapt their brand voice to TikTok, their internal teams struggled to understand what a successful TikTok strategy looks like.
I worked on an extended engagement to plan their brand voice and assist with gaining internal buy-in with senior marketing, legal, & risk decision makers. The heart of this was creating a brand voice & content guidelines that respected the heritage of the legacy brand while providing the flexibility needed to be successful on TikTok.
One of the biggest challenges was created pre-approved guidelines so that the social media team could produce content relating to viral trends quickly without being delayed by layers of approval.
Moving forwards, I provided ongoing training to the client's internal teams on both the practicalities of content creation as well as identifying opportunities for viral content.
