AI-Powered Web Application — Biotechnology

Scientific data is only useful if people can act on it. That was the core design challenge.

The challenge

A biotech company working at the intersection of AI and life sciences needed a platform to support complex internal research workflows. Scientists were processing dense datasets, tracking project status, and managing sample submissions — all in tools that created more friction than they solved. The interface had to be precise enough for expert users, but clear enough that every action felt obvious.

The solution

The work started with stakeholder interviews and workflow mapping to understand where the real bottlenecks were. Information architecture was restructured around the actual research process — not around system logic. User flows were defined for each key workflow state, and a consistent component system was built to handle high complexity without visual noise.
Interaction logic, hierarchy, and reusable components bridged the gap between sophisticated AI technology and the practical needs of the researchers using it daily.
The platform reduced cognitive load at exactly the moments that matter most — when users are interpreting data and making decisions that move research forward.
