📌 SCOPE

This project addressed a major gap in the school district’s onboarding process—there was no clear benefits information for prospective employees, and new hires struggled with benefits enrollment. The goal was to create an accessible, well-structured webpage that provided clear guidance on benefits selection, eligibility, and enrollment deadlines for both prospective employees and newly hired employees.
To achieve this, I developed:
A Prospective Employees webpage outlining available benefits, helping job seekers understand what the district offers before applying.
A New Employee Benefits Enrollment webpage with a structured, step-by-step enrollment guide to make selecting benefits easier.
Clear explanations of plan options, eligibility, and deadlines to reduce confusion and HR inquiries.
Direct links to enrollment forms, FAQs, and contacts for assistance, ensuring employees could access what they needed without searching multiple pages.

📌 PROCESS

Content Audit & Research | Reviewed existing benefits materials and HR feedback to identify key issues in the enrollment process. Found that prospective employees had no access to benefits details and new hires often missed deadlines due to unclear instructions.
Prospective Employees Webpage Development | Created a brand-new page outlining available benefits for future employees, ensuring job seekers could evaluate the district’s offerings before accepting a position.
New Employee Benefits Enrollment Webpage Redesign | Restructured benefits information for new hires, organizing content into a step-by-step enrollment guide that clearly outlined:
Benefit plan options & costs
Enrollment deadlines
Required forms & documentation
FAQs and troubleshooting tips
User-Centric Enhancements | Improved accessibility by adding downloadable resources, quick links to plan details, and HR contact information for personalized assistance.
Testing & Employee Feedback | Gathered input from new hires and HR staff to refine the content and improve clarity.
Implementation & Optimization | Published the new pages, tracked engagement, and provided guidance to HR staff on how to update and maintain the content.

📌 NEW EMPLOYEE BENEFITS HOMEPAGE

The New Employee Benefits Homepage serves as a centralized hub for new hires to understand their benefits options and navigate the enrollment process. The page features clear sections for benefits plan options, enrollment deadlines, required documentation, and FAQs to help employees make informed decisions. This redesign simplified the onboarding experience, reducing confusion and minimizing HR inquiries.

📌 PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYEE BENEFITS HOMEPAGE

Previously, prospective employees had no way to view benefits before applying, which put the district at a disadvantage in recruiting top talent. This brand-new Prospective Employee Benefits webpage solved that issue by offering a comprehensive overview of available benefits, perks, and eligibility requirements. Now, job seekers can review the district’s benefits offerings upfront, making it easier for them to evaluate job opportunities. This enhancement improves recruitment efforts and ensures candidates have a full understanding of what the district provides.

📌 NEW EMPLOYEE BENEFITS CHECKLIST

To make the enrollment process seamless, I developed a New Employee Benefits Checklist, outlining each step employees need to complete to enroll successfully. This checklist ensures new hires don’t miss deadlines, forms, or key decisions related to their benefits. It was designed to be clear, printable, and mobile-friendly, so employees can easily track their progress. By offering this structured guide, the district has significantly reduced errors and delays in benefits enrollment.

📌 DETAILED BENEFITS INFORMATION GUIDE

A comprehensive benefits guide was developed to provide in-depth explanations of each benefits plan, including healthcare, retirement, leave policies, and wellness programs. The previous information was scattered across multiple documents, making it hard for employees to find what they needed. The new guide centralized all benefits information in one place, with an easy-to-read format, downloadable PDFs, and direct links to providers. This change enhanced clarity and self-service capabilities for employees.

📌 ADDITIONAL NOTES

This project modernized and streamlined the benefits enrollment experience for new hires while enhancing recruitment efforts for prospective employees. Key outcomes include: ✅ A dedicated page for prospective employees to review benefits before applying ✅ A step-by-step new hire enrollment process, reducing confusion & delays An interactive benefits checklist to ensure smooth onboarding A centralized, easy-to-read benefits guide to improve accessibility
