📌 SCOPE

Redesigned the employee benefits webpages for a school district to improve accessibility, accuracy, and ease of navigation. The existing pages were outdated, disorganized, and difficult for employees to use. This project involved auditing existing content, restructuring information for clarity, and updating benefits details to ensure compliance and user-friendliness.

📌 PROCESS

Assessment & Content Audit | Reviewed the existing benefits webpages, identified outdated and incorrect information, and noted areas for improvement.
Restructuring & Design | Organized benefits information into clear categories, improving navigation and readability.
Content Updates | Verified and updated all benefit details, ensuring compliance with current policies and state/federal regulations.
User-Centric Enhancements | Implemented FAQ sections, quick-access links, and downloadable resources to improve employee experience.
Testing & Feedback | Conducted usability testing with HR staff and employees to refine content and functionality.
Final Implementation | Published the redesigned webpages and provided documentation for HR personnel to manage updates moving forward.

📌 BENEFITS HOMEPAGE

The redesigned benefits homepage serves as the central hub for all employee benefits-related information. It was restructured to improve navigation, making it easy for employees to access key resources. Clear categories, quick links, and updated content ensure that employees can quickly find relevant information without confusion.

📌 CURRENT EMPLOYEES PAGE

This page was updated to provide easy-to-understand benefit details for active employees. It includes a structured breakdown of available benefits, eligibility requirements, and quick access to enrollment/change forms. By enhancing clarity and organization, the page reduces HR inquiries and improves employee self-service.

📌 BENEFITS ENROLLMENT & CHANGES PAGE

A critical part of the project, this page was designed to streamline the benefits enrollment process for new hires and employees experiencing qualifying life events. The updated layout provides a step-by-step guide on selecting benefits, deadlines, and required documentation. Interactive elements, such as FAQs and downloadable guides, were added to enhance usability.

📌 EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP) PAGE

The EAP webpage was redesigned to improve accessibility and engagement. Many employees were unaware of the support programs available to them. The updated page now features clear explanations of available services, eligibility details, and direct links to provider resources, ensuring employees can easily find the help they need.

📌 RETIREMENT BENEFITS PAGE

This page was updated to simplify complex retirement plan options and ensure accuracy. The redesign included organizing information by retirement plan type (e.g., pension, 403(b), 457), adding eligibility guidelines, and incorporating a FAQ section. These enhancements help employees make informed decisions about their retirement planning.

📌 LEAVE OF ABSENCE PAGE

The Leave of Absence page was restructured to clarify different types of leave policies (e.g., FMLA, medical leave, military leave, bereavement). A step-by-step process was added to help employees understand eligibility, required documentation, and how to apply. This redesign reduces confusion and helps employees navigate leave policies without needing direct HR assistance.

This large-scale project involved: ✅ Content auditing & updating for accuracy Improved navigation & accessibility Clarification of eligibility & process steps Reduction of HR inquiries through enhanced self-service tools
