ABLOOM is a women-led nonprofit empowering Afghan women through education and advocacy. Their motto: “We build libraries of growth, freedom, knowledge, and love!” They needed a logo to represent their vision before launching their first program.
Objective:
To design a logo that reflects ABLOOM’s mission of women sharing knowledge with other women.
Deliverables:
Mockup of a business card
Logo Design
Brand Guidelines (including color palette, fonts, and social media assets)
The Design Process
Research & Inspiration
Inspired by Afghan tulips, circular motifs, and Bauhaus design, I developed a mood board reflecting teamwork, growth, and culture.
Concept Development
Evolved from floral patterns to a minimalist tulip made of three circles, symbolizing unity and growth. The tulip replaced the “O” in “ABLOOM” to tie directly into the logotype.

Final concept
Client Feedback Loop
Collaborative feedback improved the mood board and designs to represent ABLOOM’s vision and aesthetic preferences authentically.
Final Design & Results
The Solution:
A simple, symbolic logo with three interlocking circles forming a tulip, representing women’s unity and growth, seamlessly integrated into the logotype.
Color combinarions tested for contrast
Results/Impact:
The logo was met with excitement and confidence from the client, now featured across branding materials as ABLOOM prepares to launch its programs.
Client feedback
Takeaway & Reflection
