Founded in 1868 by noted humanitarian Thomas Lamb Eliot, Oregon Humane Society is one of the oldest and most respected animal welfare organizations in the United States.
WHAT:
The Oregon Humane Society (OHS) was looking to revamp their website to align to their newly developed brand guidelines, and to support their expansion in services across the state.
WHY:
OHS finds homes for over 11,000 pets each year. Making it easier for animals to find their "furever" homes means that their future families need the website to do the heavy lifting in the search for their companion. As well as an easy site to use when searching for helpful pet links and events.
HOW:
My role in this project was as both the UX and UI designer. Working closely with a small agency team, especially the developer of that agency. Collaborating with the OHS exec Marketing team, I designed the new website styling, page layouts, and widgets, which were then built out by my trusted developer partner. With over 100 pages, it was a heavy lift over a span of a couple months of work.
The site was a success, helping potential new pet owners find their new furry friends with ease. As well as helping users find helpful event and pet info.
