Brand History __

It all began with the grandfather, a prospector who acquired, still in its raw state, what would become the largest Aquamarine ever discovered in the world. From this milestone, the tradition crossed generations until it reached Daniele Bastos, the third generation of the family and founder of DB Gemstones, a gemstone supplier with international operations, based in Teófilo Otoni, Minas Gerais, recognized as the world capital of precious stones.
But every stone carries within it the secret desire to become a jewel. From this vision, Blend Fine Jewelry was
born a jewelry house that translates origin into form and history into versatile, sophisticated, and timeless jewelry.

The Logo & Colors

The symbol of Blend Fine Jewelry is a butterfly that represents transformation. The brand moves beyond acting solely as a supplier of raw stones to assume its own collection of versatile jewelry, marking the transition to the final consumer. The central diamonds symbolize the gemstones transforming into jewelry, while the wings subtly form the letter B, the initial of the brand. The color palette reinforces this contrast: gold represents the brilliance and value of the jewelry, and blue symbolizes the origin and the foundation of the brand’s history.

Challenge

With a consolidated trajectory since the 1980s as a gemstone supplier to jewelry houses in Brazil and around the world, the challenge for Blend Fine Jewelry was to undertake a structural shift: moving from operating behind the scenes of the market to becoming an authorial jewelry brand focused on the final consumer. This required repositioning a company accustomed to dialoguing with businesses — which would now also become competitors — to build a desirable, relevant, and clear brand for consumers. The main challenge was translating decades of origin, knowledge, and authenticity into unique and timeless jewelry, while preserving the essence of the story and standing out in an increasingly generic and standardized luxury market.
