Cannes Lions Festival is HUGE! But I made it smaller, how?
The Cannes Lions Festival is one of the biggest advertising festivals in the world. During that week, the world's biggest brands across advertising, technology, fashion, e-commerce, media, all come together to meet clients, celebrate wins, and win new business.
During the 7 days, there are over 1000 concurrent events happening at the same time. Every attendee is faced with the same problem: going to the right events, finding out about the right events, having a calendar for each, for ROI has been Cannes Lions Festival has been going on for over 80 years. And for all of those years, finding out and going to the right events has been a nightmare, but recently a few advertising agencies have been curating a list of all of these events and satellite events, sometimes hundreds of these events crammed into one singular Google sheets document. They then distribute that and use it for lead generation.
This was the first ever moment in time where AI agents and browser-based agents could be used to automate event planning and auto-RSVP-ing based on interests. And that's where the idea for Sunny was born.
Cannes x Sunny RSVP 2025
Sunny is an AI agent that understands the user's preferences. All the user will have to do is sign up with one form, and then we synonymously philtre through thousands of events happening that week and use agents like Puppeteer or Browserbase to navigate the browser and populate each section of the forms with the users' credentials. At the end of this process, the user will be able to see in real time what events they have been RSVP'd to. You can see it as a digital concierge for highly premium events.
The Software Used:
Puppeteer (AI Agent)
Broweserbase (AI Agent)
Manus AI (Backup Agent)
Framer for the Website & Hosting
Lovable for MVP Frontend development
Claude Code for backend development

Key Takeaways
Over 500 people used Sunny, the AI agent for auto RSVPS. It was used by over 500 people ranging from CEOs at top advertising firms to execs at Microsoft and my friends. All of the feedback was so amazing. People asked me how I built it, why I built it, what's next, and it was such a refreshing experience.
Just one year before, I went to the Kansas Lions Festival just to see what all of the hype was about. The year after, I could actually lead with value and build something that has been used by the attendees of the event. I posted this on LinkedIn and social media, and a lot of people asked me to build an iOS app that allows Sunny to plan their holidays.
Although I haven't had time to deploy this yet, I have worked on it for some time and learned a lot about how browser-based agents work and manoeuvre the screen. I even found ways to get further accuracy for web-based navigations and HTML-based forms to enhance the experience and accuracy.

During the summer and Lions Cannes Festival, I was commissioned to develop an AI agent to help attendees to autorsvp to fringe events to suit their interests.
