Road Sense is a reboot project developed to revitalize and modernize the Bluetooth enable campaign of the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia's (ICBC). Emphasizes the importance of keeping your attention on the road and taking advantage of available technological tools, such as Bluetooth connectivity, for safer and more responsible driving.
Project Details:
Goal: Modernize and revitalize ICBC's Bluetooth Enable campaign by restructuring its logo, creating graphic pieces for social networks, and developing a website that promotes road safety through the responsible use of technology.
Creative Process: Previous campaigns and contemporary designs were analyzed to establish a cohesive concept. In the design of ads for print, digital and television platforms, with clear messages and impactful graphics and a responsive website to promote resources, guides, and statistics related to responsible driving.
Challenges: Achieve visual cohesion between the different elements of the campaign, avoiding a generic or inconsistent appearance.
Methodology:
Initial sketches evolved through usability testing and digitization. Followed by development of graphic pieces for networks and ads with multiple rounds of adjustments, ensuring aesthetic uniformity and use of tools such as Figma for prototyping and Wix for final implementation.
Tools:
Adobe Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop) for logos and graphic pieces. DALL-E: Creation of unique visual elements. Figma and Wix: Website design and layout.
Feedback: Constant feedback from colleagues and directors contributed to fine-tune details such as the choice of colours and compositions.
Result: Road Sense redefines how technology can be harnessed to raise awareness of road safety, marrying modern design with educational purpose. This project not only revamped an existing campaign, but elevated it, connecting emotionally with the audience and positioning it as a model for future initiatives.
