Scrib needed to feel like the app itself: quiet, warm, a little handmade. I built the identity around three decisions that everything else follows from: a hand-lettered script wordmark, because a journaling app should look written, not typed; a single mascot, Inkling, a small ink-blot character with two dot eyes, who shows up everywhere in the system so the brand always has a face, never just a logotype; and a warm, paper-toned palette that reads as stationery rather than software.
