Zerouge - Visual Identity

The client
ZÉROUGE is a passion project developed as an exploration of what luxury becomes when it stops trying to be universally accepted. Built as a conceptual brand of eyewear, accessories, and sport collections, it challenges the conventions of quiet luxury and introduces a more expressive, unpredictable, and emotionally charged interpretation of premium design.
The challenge
The starting point was a clear cultural tension: luxury had become too safe. In an industry increasingly driven by minimalism, neutrality, and repetition, the goal was to create a brand that rejected blending in without losing sophistication. ZÉROUGE needed to exist in contrast, not as excess, but as intentional disruption.  The challenge was to build a visual and conceptual system that could hold contradiction: control and chaos, elegance and attitude, structure and instinct.
Role: Visual Identity / Collaterals
Done by my studio.
The Audience ZÉROUGE speaks to a generation that treats identity as a visual language. They are culturally aware, highly expressive, and drawn to brands that feel distinct rather than familiar. For them, style is not about fitting in, but about being recognized without explanation. They move between fashion, art, digital culture, and nightlife with ease, and gravitate toward objects that carry presence, tension, and individuality.
Our Solution We built ZÉROUGE around the idea of intentional contrast. The visual system is defined by high-contrast compositions, bold red interruptions, structured layouts, and moments of controlled surrealism. Materials such as glass, reflection, distortion, and metallic surfaces introduce a sense of instability within precision. Graphic repetition and rhythm create order, while unexpected visual elements disrupt it. This duality becomes the foundation of the identity.  The zebra emerges as the central symbol of the brand, not as decoration, but as philosophy. A natural expression of contradiction: structured yet wild, patterns that are recognizable yet impossible to replicate.
Final Brand Experience The final identity positions ZÉROUGE as a form of disruptive luxury. It does not aim to be subtle or universally liked. Instead, it is designed to be magnetic, to attract attention, shift perception, and create immediate reaction before understanding. Every touchpoint reflects this tension. The brand feels confident, slightly theatrical, and intentionally unpredictable, existing somewhere between fashion, sport, and visual provocation. ZÉROUGE is not about being understood immediately. It is about being felt first and remembered after.
