Before the COVID-19 pandemic, back in 2019, we worked with the Prognos team to help build a product that helps physicians and labs evaluate medical lab reports. This product has so much value during this current climate.

Comparing patients with different comorbidities, they symptoms and reviewing historical data both visually and in tabular form. We also worked with the medical consultant at Prognos to create actionable data points that can be exported for review by medical physicians.

We aimed to “show, not tell” the numbers by designing a system that would allow medical professionals to quickly extract insights from complex, filtered data using intuitive graphics.

We needed to create a flexible framework that could adapt to various data sets, user types, and permission levels—ensuring a consistent and scalable experience across different customer needs.

Our goal was to intelligently display the right graphs and charts based on user selections and filters, making complex data more accessible and actionable through tailored visualizations.

We partnered closely with the head of product and the medical lead at Prognos to determine which data points were most valuable for medical professionals. Once we identified the key data sources, we designed the most effective charts and graphs to help physicians and labs quickly interpret and analyze critical metrics. Our collaboration focused on turning complex medical data into clear, actionable visualizations—empowering the Prognos team to deliver meaningful insights back to medical labs and physicians.

Providing the right data was only the beginning. We focused on visualizing that data in a way that made it easy to understand and review. Beyond static charts and graphs, we made the visualizations actionable—linking them to filterable, exportable lists that physicians could use for deeper analysis and informed decision-making.

Our collaboration with Prognos was rooted in a shared goal: to make complex medical data more useful, usable, and actionable for the people who need it most. By combining thoughtful data design with intuitive visualizations, we helped build a product that gives physicians and labs the tools to interpret lab reports with greater clarity and confidence. The result is a scalable, user-centric platform that not only supports more efficient clinical decision-making but also adapts to evolving needs in a rapidly changing healthcare environment.
