I was hired as a Senior Product Designer by Event Dynamic for 3 months to redesign their ticket pricing platform. I worked closely with the Product Manager and a Jr. Designer.
Problem
The Event Dynamic platform was too complicated and unintuitive for customers. The platform was built rather quickly by engineers with no designer. This strategy worked for awhile in order to build and scale the platform quickly but as the user base scaled, so did the need for a redesign. Customers were struggling to navigate and use the ticket pricing platform resulting in frustrated experiences, increased customer support calls and even abandonment.

UX Audit
When I joined the team, I performed a UX audit by taking screenshots of all screens and UI elements and mapped out user flows. This exercise helped us understand what were the main actions of each screen and how could we improve visibility and usability.

Wireframes
I started with block wireframes. Very high level view of the main home screen. Moving blocks and rectangles around to figure out a layout that worked.

Final Designs
After a month of iterative work, we landed on designs that met the UX goals as well as business objectives. Early customer previews of the new design were satisfactory.

Design System and Components
Now that the final designs were complete, I had to work on the design system for developer hand off. I worked on components and their various states and variants. I worked on buttons, colors, typography and grid systems.
In the last month of my contract, I worked with the engineers on polish and iterating components to match the design spec.
