As an illustrator, I had the privilege of creating an artwork dedicated to the legendary poet, author, and civil rights activist, Maya Angelou. This illustration was commissioned by Missives, a collaborative platform where passionate contributors share literary insights and celebrate feminist literature.

Maya Angelou left an immense literary and intellectual legacy. Her autobiographical works, spanning from 1969 to 2013, provided a groundbreaking glimpse into the life of a Black American woman. Her influence extends far beyond her words, inspiring generations of women worldwide.

Tote Bags: The illustration was printed on tote bags, which were sold to support the association. Each bag carried not only the image of Maya Angelou but also the resilience and empowerment she symbolized.
