Guinness Six Nations – A Perfect Match

Briefing: Guinness wanted to make a bold statement in Portugal during the Six Nations Tournament—a market where rugby and the brand had little presence. As a full-time designer, art director, and illustrator at Leo Burnett Lisbon (and a former rugby player), I was brought in to craft a visual solution that resonated with team spirit and unity.
Project: Rugby is more than a sport—it’s about values, unity, and passion. I encapsulated these elements by merging the iconic pint of Guinness with the timeless moments of rugby camaraderie, creating a single, powerful illustration that celebrates the perfect match between the brand and the sport.
Awards:
ADCE Awards 2021: Silver – Print & Outdoor (Craft – Illustration)
CCP Awards 2021: Multiple accolades, including Gold for Design and Communication Illustration, along with several Silver awards in Advertising, Print, and Outdoor categories.
This project not only elevated Guinness’s presence in Portugal but also demonstrated how creative storytelling can unite diverse elements into one compelling narrative.
