Install Facebook (Meta) Pixel on the Ecommerce website to accurately track ad performance.
Main Issue : Someone had incorrectly installed it before, therefore the brand was experiencing:
Duplicate events causing incorrect tracking in ads manager
No CAPI(conversions API) integration in place
Meta pixel didnt record all parameters in the "Add to Cart" & "Add payment info" events
I re-installed the existing pixel correctly (pixel data would be lost if existing pixel was removed)
Installed the pixel & CAPI integration with the maximum shared parameters.
Pixel is tracking all 5 events perfectly W/ purchase value & other parameters
Solved the deduplication issue, resulting in laser accurate tracking.
⚡Extra Setup (More than what client requested)
I also created 15 custom + lookalike audiences using the events I setup.
These were segmented based on the product type and category types.
Also added Customer lists to feed data older than 6 months for the ads to deliver to high intent audiences not stored on Meta.
