PowerED Plans Strategic Brand Design

Client's Starting Point:

A single logo file
Warm toned-gray and cool-toned cyan
No accessibility rating or color theory
Chunky san-serif header typeface and no body typeface
Unclear about copyright and trademark abilities

The Challenges:

Break into a premium tech market as a start up
Find the market gap that would make the most sense with the brand's goals and values
Create a brand that professionals take seriously, speaks to investors, and users see value in
Design a brand ecosystem that works together seamlessly and can grow with the business

The Solutions:

20+ page brand foundation workup. This workshop breaks down the brand's background, authority and direction to align the brand into the premium marketing position my client desired.
10+ page market analysis and demographic bios. This examination of the business's competition, the desired market and ideal client base created direction for my client to drive their brand. The result was identification of PowerEDPlans’ ideal market gap to reach their revenue goals while maintaining their values: Teacher-satisfaction Focused IEP Software.
10+ page brand tone and voice framework for easy reference. The full framework includes tone keywords, caption templates and copy-and-paste word banks.
Full branding visual library. This brand went slightly beyond my Brand Standard setup. The final brand visual library consists of:
20+ file custom logo suite
Theory-backed color palette with a high accessibility rating
Brand pattern and illustration
Typography systems
Image direction
Branding mockups
Business card design & print sample
Email signature design
Stock image library
Brand asset library
Merch mockups
Full copyright ownership and trademark capabilities
As an add-on option, we also included an Investor Landing Page outline to the final deliverables.
Working with this client was a dream. Her ambition was truly inspiring.
Here is what she had to say:

Working with Kaitlyn on the Powered Plans brand guidelines was an excellent experience from start to finish. She is professional, creative, and collaborative—bringing fresh ideas while also making sure my vision stayed at the center of the process.

Her onboarding process was seamless and well-organized, which made it easy to get started. I also appreciated the care she put into scheduling: she provided adequate time for meetings, was always well-prepared, and created a space where ideas could flow openly.
Kaitlyn’s ability to blend artistry with strategy gave me confidence that my brand identity was in the right hands. She made the process enjoyable, stress-free, and inspiring. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a brand partner who listens deeply, designs thoughtfully, and makes collaboration effortless."
