I had the pleasure of working with Trace of Trace's Oats, a short form content creator all about easy recipes and, you guessed it, oats!

I got to edit a couple of short form videos for him and introduced a much needed feature: captions! Not only do captions increase your content's accessibility, it also engages viewers who might not be listening with audio.

Between the two videos I worked on, I tested out different sizes and colours for the font to see how it looks. Check it out for yourself in the videos below!

I edited both of these videos in Premiere Pro. Using the auto-generate transcript feature, I was able to create the captions—it populates on the timeline in its own layer and the text is broken up into separate sections based on your parameters. This is an easy and effective way to add value and accessibility to short form content.
