Cloud Data solution for financial and management control

A3 Property Investments is a real state assets company whichs portfolio consists of 11 full-service hotels operated by Accor Hotels, with more than 2,050 rooms located throughout 4 countries and 6 cities.

The financial and management control area are looking to get started in the cloud technology. Their specific need is to create a data warehouse from where data can be worked and analized different visualizations and reports.

The data that needs to be worked consists in:

• Hotel management closure

• A3 and subsidiaries accounting closing

• Staffing by company

• Reservations by hotels

• EBITDA projection

• Cash Flow projection

• Consumption of kW and liters used

We proposed for the IPO diagram different technologies for each step.

Input: a) Take parametric tables and data in different Excel workbooks and build a process to automate the batch loading of .CSVs and PDFs from Sharepoint into Azure SQL Database / BigQuery / MSQL-Server depending on the client decision.

b) Validate input data and if anything fails send a mail warning.

a) Creating a EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) on the technology decided (Azure SQL Database)

b) Develop Stored Procedures to automate the financial and management control calculations to obtain resulting data tables with important and validated information for users.

a) Develop different reports and visualizations on Power BI with data stored in the EDW.

The reports needed are:

Financial:

• Debt by company, rate, profile, maturity by date

• Evolution of covenants and financial ratios

Hotel portfolio:

• Operational Benchmark: Rooms, Occupation, ADR, RevPar, RevPar Index, Staffing, Costs, etc.

• Financial Benchmark: EBITDA, Cash Flow, Debt Service, Reserve Fund, Cap Rate, Appraisal, Debt, LTV, BELF

Hotel and General View

• P&L (EBITDA), Cash flow, statistics, operational and financial ratios, appraisal and debt

• Evolution of reservations per month: possibility of filtering by POS, segment, channel
