Project Overview

Haggadot.com is an online platform that enables users to create and customize Jewish ritual Passover books. The platform provides a collaborative space where members can access and contribute a variety of clips and templates, facilitating the creation of personalized Haggadot. Despite its valuable offerings, the platform faced significant usability challenges, which prompted a comprehensive UX redesign.

Challenges

Complex and Outdated Interface: The platform's UI was cluttered, making it difficult for users to navigate and customize their Haggadot effectively.
User Retention Issues: Due to usability problems, many users faced difficulty creating ritual books before completing their Haggadot.
Inefficient Search & Discovery: Users struggled to find relevant clips and templates to customize their books.
Low Engagement: The existing design lacked visual appeal and interactive elements that could encourage engagement and participation.

Approach

To address these challenges, I led a UX-focused redesign using a structured, user-centric approach:
UX Audit: Conducted a comprehensive analysis of the existing interface, identifying pain points through heuristic evaluation and data insights.
User Research & Interviews: Engaged with focus groups to gather qualitative feedback and understand user behaviors, needs, and frustrations.
Information Architecture Redesign: Streamlined the navigation and structure to create an intuitive flow for users.
Wireframing & Prototyping: Developed high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes to test different layout options and gather early feedback.
Enhanced Search & Filtering: Re-designed the search concept to make it more helpful in finding relevant books and clips.
Visual Redesign: Created a modern, engaging interface with improved typography, color schemes, and iconography to enhance user experience.
User Testing & Iteration: Conducted usability testing with target users to refine the final design before implementation.

Results

Improved User Engagement: The revamped UI and UX resulted in a significant increase in user retention and engagement.
Faster Content Discovery: The optimized search and filtering system helped users find and customize Haggadot more quickly and efficiently.
Higher Completion Rates: More users successfully created and saved their Haggadot, leading to increased platform usage.
Positive User Feedback: Surveys and analytics demonstrated improved satisfaction with the new design, with users highlighting the intuitive and visually appealing experience.

Conclusion

The Haggadot.com UX redesign successfully addressed the platform’s usability issues, leading to higher user engagement and improved functionality. By taking a data-driven, user-centric approach, we transformed the platform into a more accessible, enjoyable, and effective tool for the Jewish community to create personalized Passover books.
