I have managed and processed payroll for diverse employee types, including hourly, salaried, commission-based employees, and shareholders. I was responsible for overseeing the entire payroll cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing, including calculating wages, deductions, and bonuses. I have managed the year-end payroll processes, ensuring all T4 and T4A forms were accurately completed and filed, while also overseeing year-end reports and statutory remittances.
My expertise includes implementing and optimizing payroll platforms such as Payworks, ADP, and HiBob HRIS, allowing for automation and improved accuracy in payroll processing. Additionally, I handled benefits administration, ensuring employees’ benefits were properly processed and managed, from health insurance to retirement contributions. I was also responsible for generating comprehensive payroll reports, including tax filings, employee earnings, deductions, and other financial summaries, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
By streamlining these processes, I improved payroll efficiency, minimized errors, and ensured compliance with all regulatory requirements.
