About the Role

The Rundle Summit is a graduate student conference hosted in partnership between two post-secondary institutions in Alberta, Canada. The conference's main goal is to foster community between graduate students, improve skills for the job market, and build connections with partner institutions.
As the conference co-chair, I was tasked with managing a team of 20 volunteers in the nine months leading up to the conference. My role included:
Working with the department's administrative team to coordinate the venue, catering, and A/V for the conference
Maintaining the conference website and keeping content up-to-date leading up to the weekend of the conference
Acting as the main point of contact for presenters and attendees, answering questions via email/Twitter
Securing keynote speakers, coordinating travel plans, and hosting
Filling in the gaps wherever necessary to ensure all presenters and attendees had an amazing conference experience!
