Developer Documentation for CI/CD Security Platform

StepSecurity, a security platform for GitHub Actions, required comprehensive and user-friendly documentation to help developers secure their CI/CD pipelines. The existing documentation lacked clarity, consistency, and actionable examples, leading to user confusion and an increase in support inquiries, and needed enhancement to effectively guide users through the platform's features, including Harden-Runner, Secure Workflow, and Secure Repo. The goal was to improve onboarding, reduce support queries, and promote best practices in CI/CD security.

As the lead technical writer, I owned the complete overhaul of StepSecurity’s documentation system, from user onboarding and API references to tutorials and security guides. I worked closely with the CEO and CTO to translate complex technical knowledge into clear, user-friendly documentation for a global developer audience. My day-to-day included:
