MyFetch Food is an AI-powered pet food search app that helps owners find suitable food options based on their pet’s individual needs.
Users can include or exclude ingredients, add allergies and health considerations, create pet profiles and receive recommendations from thousands of available products.
Studio Kelcy designed the complete product experience, built the app in FlutterFlow and created the supporting MyFetch Food website.

The Brief
Pet food labels can be difficult and time-consuming to compare, particularly when a pet has allergies, food sensitivities or specific health considerations.
The vision for MyFetch Food was to create a faster and more personalised way for pet owners to explore suitable food products.
Rather than manually checking every product label, users would create a pet profile, select ingredients they wanted to include or avoid and add any relevant health considerations. AI would then use this information to search available products and return suitable matches.
The project required a complete digital identity, mobile app, AI-powered search experience and marketing website.
Phase 1: Design
Creating the Brand
The first stage involved developing a friendly and trustworthy visual direction for MyFetch Food.
The brand needed to feel approachable for everyday pet owners while still communicating that the product uses intelligent search technology.
Studio Kelcy designed the:
Logo
App icon
Colour palette
Typography
Supporting visual elements
Mobile app interface
Website interface
App Store and launch graphics
The visual identity was applied consistently across the app and website to create one connected product experience.
Planning the User Experience
The app needed to collect detailed information about each pet without making the search process feel overwhelming.
The experience was structured around a simple journey:
Create a pet profile
Add health considerations
Select ingredients to include
Select ingredients to exclude
Generate food recommendations
Review matched products
Save suitable foods for later
The profile-based structure means users can retain each pet’s information and run new searches without entering the same details repeatedly.
Pet Profiles
The pet-profile experience was designed to support individual recommendations for dogs and cats.
Each profile can hold the information required to personalise searches, including the pet’s basic details, dietary preferences, ingredient requirements and relevant health considerations.
Users with more than one pet can create separate profiles so recommendations remain specific to each animal.
Search and Filter Design
Ingredient selection was designed to feel clear and manageable.
Users can specify ingredients they would like included and identify ingredients that should be excluded because of preferences, allergies or sensitivities.
Health considerations can also be selected to further refine the search.
The completed search criteria are then presented clearly before the user generates their recommendations.
Website Design
Studio Kelcy also designed and created the MyFetch Food marketing website.
The website explains the product, demonstrates how the search works and guides visitors towards downloading the app.
Its content is organised around:
The problem MyFetch Food solves
Product benefits
A simple three-step explanation
Popular pet-food searches
App features
Customer feedback
App Store download links
Privacy, terms and support information
The app’s branding, colours, imagery and tone were carried across the website to create a consistent launch presence.
Phase 2: Build
FlutterFlow and Firebase Development
Once the product design was approved, the mobile app was built in FlutterFlow and connected to Firebase.
Firebase manages user accounts, pet profiles, preferences, search information, saved products and access levels.
The build included:
User authentication
Pet-profile management
Dynamic ingredient filters
Health-condition matching
AI-powered recommendations
Product results
Saved favourites
Purchase access
Search limits
User-specific data
Empty and loading states
AI-Powered Pet Food Search
The central feature of MyFetch Food is its AI-powered recommendation process.
The app combines the selected pet profile with the user’s chosen ingredients and health considerations. This information is used to search available pet-food products and return relevant matches.
The generated results are displayed in a clear product list, helping users compare suitable options without manually reviewing every available label.
Ingredient Filters
Users can include ingredients they would like to see and exclude ingredients they want to avoid.
This allows searches to be tailored around preferences and sensitivities rather than relying on broad pet-food categories alone.
The selected filters remain connected to the relevant pet profile and can be adjusted before a new search.
Health-Condition Matching
Users can select health considerations relevant to their pet.
These selections help refine the search and identify products that may better align with the information entered into the profile.
The interface keeps these selections separate from ingredient filters, making it clear how each type of information contributes to the recommendation.
Product Recommendations
Recommended products include the information needed for users to explore and compare each match.
Users can open a product, review its details and continue to the external retailer when they are ready to learn more.
The app connects users with products available through supported pet-food partners, including Chewy.
Multiple Pet Profiles
MyFetch Food supports households with more than one pet.
Each pet can have its own profile, dietary information, filters and saved products. Users can switch between profiles to run a search for the correct pet.
Saved Foods
Suitable products can be saved to a pet’s favourites.
This gives users a simple place to return to previously discovered foods without repeating the entire search.
Saved products remain connected to the selected pet, keeping recommendations organised for multi-pet households.
Access and Purchases
The app includes different access levels based on the number of searches and pet profiles available to the user.
Paid access is managed through RevenueCat and includes purchase restoration across supported devices.
Depending on the selected option, users can access:
Additional or unlimited searches
Multiple pet profiles
Saved favourite foods
Ingredient include and exclude filters
Health-condition matching
