Art to carry, a brand to discover

NINI9 is Maryuri Bravo’s creative brand, bringing original artwork into everyday life through handmade, hand-painted tote bags. The website introduces the collection, the artist behind it, and the idea that art can be something people carry and use.
Working through DDS Studio, I designed and developed NINI9’s website, bringing the visual identity, page layouts, and motion together. The implementation uses Nuxt.js for the frontend, GSAP for animation, and Prismic for content management.

The design challenge

The site needed to give the products a distinctive setting while keeping their handmade character and the founder’s story visible. The design balances a bold graphic presence with photography that shows the bags, their painted details, and the people around the brand.
I used oversized typography, a dark ink tone, warm orange accents, and a light textured background to establish that balance. Large statements give each section a clear identity, while smaller supporting copy leaves room for the photographs and artwork.

Shaping the website

A playful first impression. The opening pairs the oversized NINI9 wordmark with a short introduction and scattered product images. Animated image cubes add depth and movement to that composition, turning the collection photography into part of the interaction.
The collection in context. The Boho collection section combines large lifestyle photographs with closer views of the tote bags. This gives visitors a way to see both the artwork and how the product is carried, before reaching the order link.
The person behind the work. The About section introduces the brand’s purpose and Maryuri’s story. A large founder portrait brings a personal presence into the page, connecting the products with the artist who creates them.
A direct route to conversation. The order and contact calls to action lead to Instagram, with email and WhatsApp also available in the footer. These routes support questions about the collection and requests for a personalized tote.

From design to development

I carried the visual direction into Nuxt.js and used GSAP for the animation layer, with Prismic providing content management. Working across design and development let me connect the typography, image compositions, and motion as parts of the same experience.
The page moves from an expressive brand introduction into the collection, then the founder’s story and contact. That sequence brings the product and the person behind it together before inviting visitors to get in touch.

Selected views

The brand section, hero, and founder portrait below show the contrast between large graphic elements and the photography that gives NINI9 its personal character.
Hero — the bold NINI9 wordmark sits above scattered product images, introducing the brand’s artwork and the playful direction of the website.

The result

The finished website brings NINI9’s collection and founder story into a single visual experience. Bold typography establishes the brand, photography gives the products context, and motion adds a playful way to discover the artwork. Direct contact links connect that introduction with product enquiries and personalized orders.
