Named South Africa's best architecture website by the African Property Awards, four years after I designed and built it.

The practice had two decades of finished houses and a home page that opened on a statement of principles, so visitors scrolled past the argument to reach the architecture. Sustainability writes well and photographs badly, which is how the words ended up in front.

It opens on a drone shot of a finished house, with twelve projects in a grid beneath. Each house has its own page, photographs and drawings. On the About page, the founder comes before the firm.

What loads first is a building, not prose.
