The theme of Reunion 515, which revolves around the celebration of Makassar's anniversary, aims to evoke the enchanting essence of the city. By incorporating this concept, I aimed to create a design that not only honors the city's milestone but also captures its unique charm and character. The design is intended to transport viewers to the vibrant streets of Makassar, immersing them in the city's rich history and cultural heritage.

In conceptualizing this project, I drew inspiration from the characteristic patterns of the region where my client is based. By incorporating elements unique to the area, such as the rhombus shape famously associated with South Sulawesi, I aimed to create a design that not only honors the local culture but also incorporates modern minimalistic and organic elements. Specifically, I incorporated the Aztec pattern from Toraja, which adds a rich layer of cultural depth to the design. This collaboration with a local illustrator, who drew the artist performing on stage, further enhanced the project's authenticity. The color palette, featuring red, yellow, and blue as the primary hues, was carefully selected to reflect the vibrant energy of the region and the artistic style of the project.

In designing the visual identity for this project, I opted for a simple yet modern ethnic pattern that harmoniously complements the concept. To achieve a balanced visual effect, I employed a muted white background, which subtly tones down the saturation of the colors, allowing the design to maintain a sense of sophistication. Additionally, I incorporated illustrations of the food items that will be sold at the venue, infusing the design with a minimalist modern touch that adds a layer of elegance and refinement. This deliberate blend of design elements results in a visually appealing and cohesive visual identity that effectively communicates the essence of the project.
